1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or creating an account on Lawson Legal Directory ("Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all terms herein, you must immediately discontinue use of the platform.
2. Nature of Platform Services
Lawson Legal Directory operates exclusively as an online matching directory and legal technology catalog. We facilitate connection between independent legal practitioners, law chambers, and prospective clients.
- Not a Law Firm: Lawson Legal Directory is not a legal practice, law firm, or legal referral agency.
- No Legal Advice: Material provided on the platform does not constitute formal legal counsel.
- Independent Contracting: Engagement of any lawyer or law firm listed is strictly a direct contract between the user and the attorney.
3. Lawyer Profiles & Verification
Legal practitioners creating profiles or claiming listings on the Platform warrant that all professional credentials, practice licensing, call-to-bar status, and office details submitted are accurate and in good standing with the General Legal Council or relevant bar authority.
4. User Accounts & Security
When creating an account (Client or Lawyer Portal), you are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your access credentials. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized account access.
5. Subscriptions, Claims & Payments
Certain directory services, featured placements, or practitioner tools require paid subscriptions or claim fees. All payments processed via integrated third-party payment gateways (e.g., Paystack, Stripe) are subject to our billing terms. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled prior to the renewal billing cycle.
6. Intellectual Property
All source code, database structures, interface layouts, directory search architectures, branding, and content published on Lawson Legal Directory are protected under copyright and trademark laws. You may not scrape, frame, or duplicate platform data without written authorization.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Ghanaian law, Lawson Legal Directory shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from user reliance on directory listings or professional services performed by listed legal practitioners.
8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Ghana.
